International Day of Yoga

International Yoga Day is Friday, June 21. Whether you’re new to yoga or it’s already part of your exercise routine, here are 5 places you can celebrate the day.

1Harlinsdale Farm

Join Friends of Franklin Parks and City of Franklin Parks for a day of free yoga and activities at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm to celebrate International Day of Yoga. Friday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests of all ages are invited to experience various types of classes, including goat yoga, family yoga, power yoga, ‘office yoga,’ and more. 

There will be giveaways throughout the event, along with snacks and more. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats to this event. Event sponsors include Juice Bar Franklin, Lululemon and Signs First.

2Goat Yoga Nashville

It’s party time at Goat Yoga Nashville. This weekend marks their 2 year anniversary as well. Visit a class on Friday, June 21 at 11 am and celebrate their anniversary and International Yoga Day. Join in and meet the sweet “CMA Awards” goats while they roam and hop about or even hop on you!! Plus you’ll get to relax and breathe in the beautiful Tennessee countryside. 3Nashville Cumberland Park

A free yoga event will be offered at Nashville Cumberland Park, 592 South 1st Street, Nashville from 5:30 p – 9 p.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Yoga begins at 6 p. Following a 1-hr yoga practice, there will be vendors, food trucks and more. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring your own mat and a water bottle.

4Lotus Rising Yoga

Lotus Rising Yoga just opened in Spring Hill at 5294 Main Street. For International Yoga Day, the studio will hold a free class outside at 6 a in celebration of International Yoga Day, as well as the Summer Solstice, by doing 108 sun salutations. This is a specific sequence of yoga postures designed to warm the body. Participants should bring their own mat and plenty of water. There will also be a giveaway of a free class promo code on their social media pages. Even if you don’t attend the class, you will be able to use the code once for any future class of their choice. All class packs and memberships will be 10% off.

5Brentwood Library

India Association of Nashville will celebrate International Yoga Day on Friday, June 21 at the Brentwood Library, 8109 Concord Road, Brentwood beginning at 6:15 p until 8 p.  This is a free event for ages 7 and up.
