Have the holidays have left you with tighter pants or a feeling sluggish? Or maybe one of your goals for 2018 is to start a new workout. We’ve put together of list of places to workout for those who like to cycle, try new things or for those who are looking for one on one attention.

1Pure Barre

This class is just 55 minutes you will achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals, and arms. The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. 2YMCA

YMCA hosts a variety of classes from your standard fare of cycling, walking, and aerobics to more trendier favorites including barre, yoga, pilates, boot camp, TRX, water exercise, and many others. There is literally a class for everyone from those just beginning their fitness journey to the most experienced individuals. So, if you are type that likes to workout in different locations or you like to change up your workouts on a regular basis, this is the place for you. 3Steel Athletes

Brentwood, Tennessee

Personal trainer, Thalas Steele offers both group sessions as well as personal training for the last seven years. With a philosophy of “Train Dirty, Eat Clean” his method of transforms his clients from first-timer walking in the door of the gym to the athlete who is looking to improve their performance. In addition to training, Steele offers nutritional education as he feels nutrition and training go hand in hand. The 2018 twelve-week group training sessions start on Jan. 8. 4CrossFit Combustion

CrossFit Combustion is a strength and fitness facility that develops athletes both young and old into a better version of themselves. 5CycleBar

This newcomer to the area, CycleBar offers an indoor cycling experience like other. When attending a CycleBar class, first it’s inside which is a welcomed during this bitter cold weather. Secondly, once the workout begins, the lights are turned down low and it’s just you and your bike. The staff is there to help you get your bike set, offer a complimentary water bottle, towel and for those who like competition, there’s a leader board shown throughout the class to see where you rank.
