3.Bledsoe Creek State Park

Bledsoe Creek State Park is just outside Gallatin and is ideal for families. The park has more than 50 paved campsites that include fire rings, grills, lantern holders, picnic tables and access to a bathhouse. While smaller than a lot of other state parks, it has several hiking trails, a new playground, and fishing/boating access to Old Hickory Lake. It has a very high deer population, and they apparently love to hang out around the campsites.

Rate: $24 to $31.25 depending on tent or RV
