5 Free Events for the Family This Weekend

You can have a ton of fun for zero dollars this summer. Check out 5 totally free events, happening this weekend (July 10-12).

1. Movie at Pinkerton Park
Friday, July 10th 8pm

Take the family to see “Paddington” at Pinkerton Park.

2. Movie at the Lawnchair Theatre, Leiper’s Fork
Friday, July 10th

Enjoy “Pirates of the Caribean Black Pearl” in Leiper’s Fork.

3. Family Geocaching, Owl’s Hill
Saturday, July 11th 10a-1p

Bring a picnic and come geocaching at Owl’s Hill! Geocaching is a highly popular, worldwide treasure hunt game. Geocaches are hidden in containers that can be found using a GPS or smartphone. We have new sites set up that are ready to be found. This is also a fantastic way for new geocachers to get acquainted with the game. Hike around in the woods and see what you can find! 4. Passport to the World – Ethiopia
Williamson County Main Library
Sunday, Jul. 12, 2:00 p.m.

Learn about Ethiopian culture without leaving Franklin!  Information will be presented on the people, traditions, and folklore.  You can even get a taste of authentic Ethiopian culinary delights from Gojo Ethiopian Restaurant.  This program will be presented by the Marks family and friends. Sponsored by Sister Cities of Franklin & Williamson County, and the Library.

5.  Lowe’s Build and Grow Kids Clinic
Sat, July 11th, 10am

Lowe’s is holding several Avengers themed clinics this summer. On Saturday, July 11th, your child can build Black Window’s Sky Cycle inspired by “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble!” This event is great for children ages 5-12. Classes are filling up fast but spots are still available for the Franklin and Spring Hill Lowe’s. Register here.
