2.Tennessee Aquarium at Chattanooga
The Tennessee Aquarium sits on Chattanooga’s riverfront. At the Aquarium, you’ll see river otters, frogs, turtles, freshwater fish, sharks, beautiful butterflies, playful penguins, mesmerizing jellyfish and thousands of colorful reef fish.
Right now, guests can see two baby penguins in their nest in the Aquarium’s Penguins’ Rock exhibit. The chicks hatched in early June and Aquarium staff report they are developing well.
Two shark species live at the Aquarium: Sand Tiger Sharks and Sandbar Sharks. The Aquarium is home to four Sand Tigers and two Sandbars.
