5. Visit a Pumpkin Patch 

It can become your family tradition to visit one of the local pumpkin patches in our area. Once you select your pumpkin for carving, you can enjoy the other activities the farm has to offer like corn mazes and more. Take a look at our list of local pumpkin patches.

The Cooper Trooper Foundation

What: The Cooper Trooper Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to helping families battling childhood cancer. You’ll find pumpkins, gourds and cornstalks at the Cooper Trooper Pumpkin Patch, as well, as games for the kids, inflatables and face painting!

Where: Corner of Cool Springs Blvd & Mallory Lane (in front of Walgreens)

When: Mon-Fri 10a-7p, Sat 9a-8p and Sun 10a-7p, through Oct 31st

Gentry’s Farm

What: The seventh generation farm has been owned by the Gentry family for over 165 years. In the fall, they have a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and huge activity area, which includes: 4 are cornfield maze, hayrides, nature trail, playground, tire swings, hands-on barn, inside maze, chickens, sheep, cows and more.

Admission is $7 to the activity center (children 2 and under are free and seniors 65 and older are free). Cash and check only. Visiting the pumpkin patch is free.

When: Mon 9a-12p, Sat 9a-5p and Sun 1p-5p, through Oct 31st.

Wilson Family Farm

What: Pick your own or choose from already picked varieties at the Wilson Family Farm market. Also available are hay bales and cornstalks, hayrides and a corn maze.

Where: 4809 Byrd Lane, College Grove

When: Saturdays & Sundays 10a-5p

Lucky Ladd Farms

What: Lucky Ladd’s biggest event of the year is when the pumpkin patch field opens for picking–over 10 varieties of pumpkins to choose from. You and your family can also check out other fun fall festivities including pumpkin carving contests, the Giant Pumpkin Slingshots, Pumpkin Hollar a family friendly after-dark attraction and our Pumpkin Patch Princess and Corn Maze King Pageant.

Where: 4374 Rocky Glade Road, Eaglevill (south of Nashville, half-way between Franklin and Murfreesboro.)

When: Wednesdays & Thursdays 10a-6p, Friday & Saturdays 10a-9p, Sundays 12p-5p and Monday and Tuesdays (beginning Oct 19th) 10a-4p.
