Aug 3 – 11
Arena Floor
Mon-Friday 6:45pm & 8:45pm, Sat 11am, 3pm & 7:30pm and Sun 2pm, 4:30pm & 7:30pm

Lady Houdini, the name given to Kristen Johnson by an Inside Edition producer at CBS Studios in New York has definitely stuck. Especially since she broke immortal Harry Houdini’s record for the most Water Torture Cell escapes ever performed, which historians and magic aficionados worldwide estimate to be just over one thousand. She broke Houdini’s record in 2012, and is currently over 1,950 attempts and counting.

Johnson seems fearless, even to the fault of flirting with death, as in the case of the Water Torture Cell. It’s a nail biter, watching her during the escape, as she is able to hold her breath under water for up to 5 minutes and 2 seconds while methodically picking the padlocks, handcuffs, and leg shackles that hold her in what could quickly become a watery grave.

Kristen, a real escapologist, also performs the aerial straitjacket escape which Houdini so often used. In 2007, Kristen once again set out to ‘best’ Houdini’s escape and for over three years whether outside with a crane at 80 feet high or inside an arena at 40 feet above the stage, hanging from battens, she would escape the jacket, remove her feet from the rope loops and rappel or fast rope down.

Lady Houdini is a show you don’t want to miss!

New to The Children’s Barnyard last year was a Duck Slide, which quickly became a crowd favorite. You don’t want to miss it this year!

Check out the Birthing Pig Exhibit or have fun playing in the corn pit. You can pet a mama llama, try your hand at roping a (fake) steer, or pet a miniature donkey. The Williamson County Fair has lots of farm animals in the barnyard, so come see the sheep, goats, Shetland pony, beef and dairy cattle, draft horse, alpaca, pygmy goats, and Texas Longhorn.

The Children’s Barnyard is presented by Williamson Farmer’s Co-op.

Trevor, a 3 time gold medalist, consistently pulls off tricks on his bike that even his competitors would consider impossible. Rob Nolli, a bronze medalist, is one of the most versatile riders in the sport today.
