Williamson County Growth Series: Part 1

The 4th Quarter Report for Williamson County was released a while back and the information is very impressive. Unemployment is down to 4.4 percent, the final stretch of 840 is now open and bringing in new traffic, and we had the second fastest job growth in the nation back in October 2012 according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

Our three largest Chambers of Commerce effectively merged into 1W1C and with this took over the county office of Economic Development. Mars is solidly in the building stages in Thompson’s Station and the city is soon to have a new restaurant. Tractor Supply Company selected Brentwood for their new corporate headquarters in the Maryland Farms section of Brentwood and Streets of Brentwood has come to a sudden halt.

Franklin is listed as one of the top 10 cities for Historic Preservation according to the Preservation Network September 2012. The highest ACT composite test scores in history were posted by Williamson County Schools in August and CNN Money named us one of the 10 best places to live.
