The Honeysuckle is an elevated chef inspired Southern restaurant, bringing the culture of the city to Cool Springs. The Honeysuckle offers lunch, brunch and dinner menus. Their menus include fresh juices, Southern comforts like shrimp and grits, salads, steaks, and seafood, including an oyster bar.
Chef Jim O’Connor’s passion for Southern Cuisine has called him to the booming culinary revolution in Nashville after honing his skills in San Francisco and New York. Â His vision for The Honeysuckle is to inspire with creative Southern plates, nourish his guests and provide a world class dining experience.
We’ve put together a list of four must-try items from the menu. Two of the items are available on the Brunch menu and two others from the dinner menu.
Southern Benedict– A brunch item typically served on English muffin but this version is served on a house-made biscuit layered with country ham, perfectly poached egg, hollandaise sauce with a side of breakfast potatoes.
French Toast -Nothing sounds better for brunch than a plate of french toast. Taking it up a notch, Brioche bread is selected as the base; this egg based bread perfectly soaks up the vanilla cream in the dish. To finish it off, you will find a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh berries and a side of maple syrup.
Watermelon Salad-Instead of small pieces of watermelon or a wedge this salad is a perfect formed block. Combining the flavors of basil and mint, with crushed pistachios, it takes on an art form. Don’t forget to try the lavender, white balsamic gastrique encircling the watermelon.
Fried Chicken Skins– Chef O’Connor says this is a not to miss item, totally top secret, so we don’t have a lot of details to share. They start with Springer Mountain Farms chicken, and each order is served with 3 in-house made sauces that include bbq, spicy white sauce, and hot sauce.
