Christmas is about three and a half weeks away. If you’re still wondering what to get people on your list, swing by one of these holiday markets, where you’ll find unique and one-of-a-kind gifts.
1. City Farmhouse

Vintage and antique lovers can ring in the first notes of the festive season at this year’s City Farmhouse Holiday Pop-up Fair, the highly curated show taking place at the Factory at Franklin Dec. 3 and 4.
Known for drawing local celebrities, country music stars and private collectors, the City Farmhouse Holiday Pop-up Fair will host more than 30 hand-selected exhibitors from 11 states and a wide range of antique wares, along with handmade selections – the perfect opportunity to uncover those one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones, organizer Kim Leggett said.
Show times are Saturday 1a-12p (early bird tickets – $25), general admission 12p-4p ($12) and Sunday 11a-3p ($12).

2. Holiday Village at Homestead Manor

Homestead Manor is kicking off the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 2, with its second annual Holiday Village — a farmer’s market-like festival offering a host of fun-filled activities like ornament making, cookie decorating, photos with Santa and more.
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., guests will fill The Barn on Homestead Manor’s ca. 1819 property to enjoy a market displaying homemade, home-grown items ranging from custom jewelry and wood trinkets, hand-poured candles, paintings and leather goods to natural soaps, baked goods, jams and more from 30 local, craft vendors.
“Each of our vendors was carefully selected to fill a variety of categories that would enhance our Holiday Village by providing shoppers with the best selection of gifts for the season. Supporting local entrepreneurs reflects our local approach at Homestead Manor,” said Rachel Layton, director of marketing for A. Marshall Family Foods, the umbrella organization of Homestead Manor. “Last year’s event was a huge success and it’s our goal to make it even more magical, each year.”
In addition to a sweeping assortment of craft vendors, festival-goers can expect Christmas carolers, a hot cocoa bar with fireside seating, free cookie decorating provided by Triple Crown Bakery, ornament making for kids, and the chance to write letters to Santa Claus. Children’s train rides will also be available for $1, courtesy of D&H Railroad, with 50 cents of each ride fare benefitting the Tennessee Children’s Home in Spring Hill.
Plus, Santa Claus himself will be onsite from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., for holiday photos with little ones and families alike. The festive keepsakes are $25 per photo.

3. The Art Show at Brentwood Academy

The three-day event, held at Brentwood Academy’s Granny White Pike campus, has become a well-known and eagerly anticipated opportunity to view and purchase framed works of original art, created by many of the finest artists from across the region. Come to find the perfect gift or the piece for that special place in your home. Or just come to see the impressive array of fine art.
The 2016 Art Show at BA opens Friday, December 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Opening night of the show features a fabulous hors d’oeuvres reception. Admission is free and open to the public.
The show is a major fundraiser for Brentwood Academy. Thirty percent of each purchase is tax deductible and goes to the school to supplement academic, spiritual, administrative and athletic needs. Prices of artwork range from under $100 to several thousand dollars.

4. Dickens of a Christmas

Don’t miss the largest outdoor Christmas festival in Middle Tennessee! Step back in time with the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County when Dickens of a Christmas returns to Franklin’s Main Street December 10-11, 2016.
Sponsored this year by Nissan, the 32nd annual free street festival will recreate the time of Charles Dickens using historic downtown Franklin’s Victorian architecture as the backdrop. Some 200 musicians, dancers and characters will fill the streets, including several from Charles Dickens’s stories. Expect to see and interact with the nefarious Fagin from Oliver Twist; Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim Cratchit with his parents from A Christmas Carol; and of course, a Victorian Father and Mother Christmas with treats for children.
If you’re still looking for the perfect gifts for those on your list, Dickens of a Christmas will feature more than 60 vendors, offering holiday arts, crafts and gifts.
Festival times are Saturday 10a-5p and Sunday 11a-5p.
