This year’s Chair will be adorned in a stunning creation from local designer Jeff Garner, owner of the Prophetik label. Jennifer Parker will step out with her husband Jamey wearing a Prophetik gown. “This dress was made for the catwalk at London Fashion Week this year, but we’ve changed it a bit to make it special for her and for the Ball,” said Garner. “It’s a fine hemp and raw silk gown, dyed with Japanese indigo, and we’ve added some vintage lace and a French bustle in the back, along with the exposed zipper.”

Exposed zippers are a signature element for Prophetik. “Zippers break, and I don’t like using elements for design obsolescence,” continued Garner. “I use industrial zippers, often recycled ones. Like the fabric, which won’t rip if it’s stepped on, the seams won’t bust… I want her to be able to twirl and dance and have the time of her life, without worrying about whether the dress is going to stay together. It’s very important to me.”

The Heritage Ball is the largest fundraiser for the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County. “We are blessed in this community to have corporate supporters who believe in what we’re doing, and making significant investments in our mission,” said Jennifer Parker. “FirstBank has demonstrated that commitment in so many ways in towns across Tennessee, and we’re excited that they are putting down roots in Williamson County.”

“The Heritage Foundation’s commitment to protecting and preserving historic resources in Franklin and Williamson County is aligned with FirstBank’s community-based banking philosophy of participating and investing in all that our local communities have to offer, “said Gordon Inman, FirstBank’s Middle Tennessee Chairman.

Tickets can be purchased through the Heritage Foundation by calling Torrey Barnhill at (615) 591-8500, x20. For more information, visit Online.
