3 Ways to Decorate Your Mantle for Fall

By Jennifer Ingram,Owner, Gracious Spaces in Brentwood, TN

Decorating a mantle for a season or a holiday is a tradition for many people. Decorating should be fun, not stressful, so here are 3 easy ways you can decorate your mantle for fall.

1.Use Kitchen Items

Cake stands and tiered dessert stands provide a great way to display your fall decor.

2. Use Elements of Nature (real or fake)

You can search your yard for some great decor. Collect pinecones to make any room feel fall-like. Tip: Bake the pinecones at 200 degrees for 30 mins to get rid of any little critters and you’re good to go! Stems from the yard are a great natural element as well. Or you can use cotton stems, which are trendy and fun and add interest and texture.

You an also hit up any home store for faux acorns and pumpkins.

3. Tie it Up

Old books tied with twine or burlap, mini pumpkins, and candles are other easy elements you can add to a mantel.
