3 Ways to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Mojo's

This weekend is Cinco De Mayo. Because Cinco de Mayo takes place on a Sunday this year, some restaurants are celebrating all weekend long. It’s the perfect time to toast with a Margarita, eat a fish taco and chow on some chips and salsa. Here are three places to visit this weekend.

1. Mojo’s Tacos

Mojo's

230 Franklin Road, Franklin

Mojo’s Tacos will mark its first anniversary with a “Fiesta de Mayo” celebration Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at The Factory at Franklin. The family-friendly event, hosted in partnership with Mockingbird Theater, will feature live music, drink specials, giveaways and more.

The public is invited to attend the weekend-long party, where the courtyard adjacent to Mojo’s Tacos will be transformed into a beer and tequila garden from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 with multiple food and drink options, music and plenty of games and activities for kids to enjoy.

Corralejo Tequila will give away branded cups and shirts throughout the weekend and a special-edition “Cinco de Mojo” t-shirt will be available for purchase for $10 while limited supplies last. For more information about the event, visit www.facebook.com/mojostaco.

2. Local Taco
