From Franklin Police

Three out-of-state suspects are being held in the Williamson County Jail after their arrest, Sunday, by Franklin Police.

Walmart security called police after using surveillance cameras to watch the suspects use multiple credit cards to purchase an assortment of prepaid gift cards. Detectives located and stopped the suspect vehicle nearby, ultimately finding the trio in possession of more than $7,000 in fraudulently-obtained, pre-paid gift cards. Detectives also found a variety of clothing purchased with stolen credit cards, and a purse that had been recently stolen from a shopper in Brentwood.

This same group of suspects used stolen credit cards to make purchases at the Cool Springs Target just prior to committing their crimes at Walmart.

Joyce McClellan, 46 of Chicago, 53-year-old Anthony Kemp of Minneapolis, and 44-year-old Rita Jones of Chicago are being held in the Williamson County Jail. They have been charged with Identity Theft and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Additional charges are expected. All three are due in court on July 25.
