The Independence High School football squad will return home this Friday to play Beech High School.

Independence has been soaring high this season with three straight victories, including a 56-7 homecoming romp of Summit in Week 2. Independence has scored more points each week of the season.

The Eagles have relied heavily on its offensive stars so far this season, namely receiver Vic Wharton III and quarterback Caleb Hollis. Hollis threw four touchdown passes, with Wharton catching two and scoring another on a 70-yard punt return.

Beech enters the game 2-1 after a 40-36 win over Gallatin. The Buccaneers have struggled all season with injuries, and Friday night will be no different.

Friday’s game starts at 7 p.m.
