Nearly one fourth of the individuals who scored a perfect score on the TCAP Writing Assessment statewide were Williamson County students, according to a recent report released by the Tennessee Department of Education.
A total of 100 students in grades 3-11 statewide in 2014 received a perfect score on the TCAP Writing Assessment; 23 of those students were or are Williamson County students.
Last year, 2014, was an optional year for the writing test in grades 3-11. The TCAP Writing Assessment for this year, 2015, is mandatory. WCS chose to test all students in grades 3-11 in 2014.
