21 Schools Awarded Health Mini-Grants

Twenty-one Williamson County schools have won Coordinated School Health mini-grants for the School Health Plans each school submitted this year.

Each year, the coordinated school health liaison and healthy school team complete a school health plan that addresses how the school is assessing, implementing and improving school health/safety, health education, physical education/activity, nutrition, health services, counseling/social services, staff wellness and family and community involvement.

The plans were reviewed by the Coordinated School Health Department and health educators from the local health department.
