Pumpkinfest is set to take place in downtown Franklin Saturday, Oct 26. Currently, rain is in the forecast for Saturday; however, organizers want to remind everyone that Pumpkinfest is a rain or shine event.
Many activities will go on as planned; however, the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County has announced via Facebook that activities that were scheduled to take place on 3rd Avenue North in the Church of the City Kids Zone have been canceled at this time.
The good news is that there will be lots of other kid-friendly activities for your family, including:
– Costume Contest and Parade for all ages
– Extreme Pumpkin Carving
– Face painting and Sound Booth in Public Square
– Make-A-Wish Carnival Truck
– Guess the weight of the Great Pumpkin
– Pumpkin Tree Family Photo Booth
– PLUS Heritage Classroom Activities at Franklin Grove including candle-making, pumpkin patch photos, and vintage games
The festival has several covered areas, including:
– The Acoustic Corner Stage
– Bavarian Bierhaus Beer Garden
– Leiper’s Fork Distillery Whiskey Lounge
– Downtown Franklin Rotary Chili Cook Of
The Fourth Avenue Church of Christ will also be open to dry off and use the restroom.
Plus, don’t miss the open house at Franklin Grove Estates and Gardens.
Saturday is also the City of Franklin’s 220th birthday! To commemorate the occasion, the City of Franklin will host a birthday celebration at the Pumpkinfest Main Stage at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Mayor of Franklin Dr. Ken Moore and the new blue bin recycling mascot “Bin” Franklin will be in attendance to lead the affair.
