2019 Hottest Toys for the Holidays

RetailMeNot released a list of the hottest toys for the 2019 holiday season. In past years, they have predicted the Fingerlings, Hatchimals, and the NES Classic Edition to be some of the most popular toys.

With Toys R’ Us no longer an option for shopping, RetailMeNot shares that most consumers will be shopping at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Here’s the list of the predicted hottest toys.

1Rizmo

Rizmo is predicted to be the top toy of 2019. The plush creature from outer space evolves, sings and makes music in different genres. The more you play with Rizmo, the faster it magically grows! The toy comes in three colors and with seven games.

2Hatchimals Wow Llacorn

The latest in the Hatchimals family is Llalacorn, a llama-unicorn hybrid that can hatch and re-hatch over and over again. This creature grows up to 2 1/2 feet tall with more than 250 different reactions, sounds, motions and more.

3Skyrocket Blume Doll

Blume Dolls have been anticipated all year. They come in a flower pot, and when you add water, they sprout and grow. It’s a surprise as to which Blume Doll you’ll get, and spoiler alert: there are 22 to collect.

4Boppi the Booty Shakin’ Llama

The colorful Boppi comes with three songs to move and twirl its head along to. And the Llama has seemed to replace the Unicorn for the moment.

5WowWee Pinkfong Baby Shark Fingerlings

In case you haven’t heard “Baby Shark” enough. This fingerling responds to sound and motion, and with a quick wave, you can hear it play “Baby Shark” while blinking its eyes. And it will give you a kiss.

6Owleez

Spin Master’s Owleez is an interactive pet that you can rescue, take care of and teach to fly! It’s a nurturing toy, which means you will need to do things like feed it toy berries, pet it, rock it to sleep and more.

7LEGO Overwatch 75974 Bastion Building Kit

LEGO Overwatch 75974 Bastion figure that Overwatch fans both young and old alike will enjoy. It’s also one of the most recognizable and popular characters from the beloved action game.

8Dreamworks Dragons Hatching Toothless Baby Dragon

This toy is a combo of the popular hatchimal and a popular character from “How to Train a Dragon.” Toothless will hatch out of his egg, move his head, makes noises, and his eyes light up. Once hatched, you can teach him to fly, “plasma blast” and play games, such as Ask Toothless, Hot Potato and Toothless Says.

9Ninetendo Switch Lite

The new Nintendo Switch Lite is a smaller, cheaper alternative to the Nintendo Switch, making it ideal for travel and taking with you. The key differences—aside from size— are your television and the games available to play. The standard Switch is a hybrid console that can work as a handheld machine or with a dock that allows you to play games on your TV. The Switch Lite, however, is mobile-only and doesn’t connect to a larger screen. It also doesn’t have removable controllers on its side. The Lite is made to play with handheld games, and will only work with Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode. The system comes in three colors: yellow, turquoise and gray.

10Creatable World Dolls

This brand-new line from Mattel introduces dolls that are gender-neutral and can be accessorized to be a boy, a girl, neither or both. The six dolls from Creatable World have different skin tones, hair and clothes.

11NERF Fortnite Sp-L Elite Dart Blaster

Nerf Elite blaster is modeled after the look and colors from the one in the game. It comes with six darts and has a detachable barrel to change up the way you play with it for distance targeting or smaller areas.

12Pictionary Air

A modern take on Pictionary, this upgrade comes with a special light-up pen that you use alongside the Pictionary Air app to draw in the air. Point the in-app camera at the person illustrating, and they and their drawing will appear on the screen of your smart device.

13Pomsies Lumies

Lumies are light-up Pomsies that change colors, play games with and make music. Pomsies were one of the most popular toys in 2018. There are three different Lumies to choose from (purple, pink and blue).

14Hasbro Disney The Lion King Might Roar Simba

With a new live-action “Lion King”, you can expect to see a surge in toys for the movie. And no doubt, you can rely on FurReal to bring the best interactive animals ever. Simba responds to touch and sound with 100+ sound-and-motion combinations. He’ll roar, snuggle and say phrases from the movie.

15Kindi Kids Dolls

Super-fun dolls with heads that bobble and wobble while they eat, bite or scoop their Shopkins treat. There are currently four dolls available.

16L.O.L. Surprise! 2-in-1 Glamper Fashion Camper

19Basic Fun Cutetitos
