Earth Day

The first Earth Day was held in 1970 to celebrate the earth, nature, and peace. The concept stuck and, now, every year on April 22, people around the world continue to celebrate Earth Day by planting trees, enjoying the outdoors and pledging to make environment-friendly changes in their everyday lives.

In celebration of Earth Day, we found deals and ways to recycle items for a discount at Find Earth Day events here.

Amazon: April 16 to 22, Amazon is running deals on select items from Amazon Warehouse (which sells used and refurbished items). For example, get 20% off on used electronics and kitchen appliances.

Plus, through May 14, get 40% off this eco-friendly reusable gold stainless steel straws set.

Best Buy: Get 40% off open-box electronics through April 27. These are products that have been returned to Best Buy (under its returns and exchanges policy) and inspected. By buying open-box products, you’re reducing waste without having to take the risk of buying used electronics.

BurgerFi: On April 22, get VegeFi Burgers and Beyond Burgers (which are plant-based) for $5, plus a free Heinz Tomato seed packet with any purchase. BurgerFi has also announced it has eliminated 50 tons of single-use plastic straws and cups for soft drinks from more than 100 locations nationwide.

Macy’s: Order over $45 worth of Origins products by April 23, and receive a free reusable tote plus VitaZing SPF 15 Energy Boosting Moisturizer.

Office Depot and OfficeMax: Get free Workonomy shredding services at all Office Depot/OfficeMax retail stores March 31 through April 27. Workonomy promises to dispose of your shredded paper in an environmentally responsible manner (see details).
