The Force is with the students performing in the 2018 Orchestra String Fling this year. On Friday, May 4, middle and high school orchestra students from 15 Williamson County schools will merge together for an out-of-this-world performance.

The String Fling will begin at 7 p.m. at Nolensville High School. Adults have to pay a gate fee of $5 to get in, but anyone under 18 years old gets free entrance.

The schools included in this performance are Brentwood Middle, Fairview Middle, Grassland Middle, Heritage Middle, Mill Creek Middle, Page Middle, Sunset Middle, Woodland Middle, Brentwood High, Centennial High, Fairview High, Franklin High, Independence High, Nolensville High and Ravenwood High.

“Thanks to amazing parents at Nolensville High School, we were able to give this event a fun theme,” said Grassland Middle School Orchestra Director Susan Abell. “Our students love preparing for this event because we include popular songs, movie music, fiddle tunes and more. It lets them relax and enjoy playing with hundreds of students at once.”
