When Does JT Play at Pilgrimage?

And 4 Artists We’d Love to See Him Bring to the Stage

Set your alarm to be at the Midnight Sun stage on Saturday, September 23 at 7p because that’s when Justin Timberlake will take the stage. The countdown is on for the third annual Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival and Wednesday the festival released the complete schedule with set times.

So, as we countdown until Pilgrimage Festival, we have to ask who will Justin bring to the stage in Franklin?

Based on what we know, we feel like Chris Stapleton is a strong possibility as they are close friends and both have homes in Leiper’s Fork. In checking Stapleton’s schedule, he will be traveling from Vegas to Virginia but there’s a gap day, meaning he has nothing scheduled for September 23rd. Could we please have a “Drink You Away” encore from the CMA Awards back in 2015?

Taylor Swift brought Timberlake to the stage on the last stop of her 1989 tour in Los Angeles. The two performed “Mirrors”, Timberlake could ask Swift to join him on stage as it’s rumored she’s in town finishing her album. Swift hasn’t performed any of her new music live yet. Could she perform “Look What You Made Me Do” or “Are You Ready” from her Reputation album to be released in November, at the festival?

Another option – Little Big Town.  Remember when Timberlake sang on their Wanderlust album? The album released in June of 2016, “C’mon” featured Timberlake on background vocals. Little Big Town’s schedule looks to be completely open that day.

We do have one last person in mind –  Jimmy Fallon. Recently, Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel told Reddit “that every waking moment they [Justin & Jimmy] can spend together they do.”

In addition to music, Pilgrimage will have over 50 artisan booths in the bazaar, 24 local and regional food craft booths including award winning food trucks located in the “Farm to Turntable” food truck park, and beverage stands with your favorite boutique wines, beers, and spirits! Plus, the Michael’s Art Barn will feature curated works from local and regional artists including prints, paintings, photographs, and sculptures as well as tapestries on display throughout the festival grounds created by student art programs with local schools.
