The 2012 Franklin Jazz Festival returns on September 1st & 2nd to the Factory at Franklin. This is the 23rd year for the shindig and it is considered one of the top festivals of its kind in the Southeast. After years of ran and heat the festival is moving back indoors.
The location is perfect and has something for everyone. Boutique shopping, antiques, art, and great restaurants fill the Factory. The main stage will be located in Liberty Hall, with art displayed and for sale in the adjoining Heritage room benefiting this year’s nonprofit the Williamson County Cultural Arts Council.

Jamison Hall will house a new and used music area, “Music Marketplace”. New and used music merchandise will be on sale including school band instruments, guitars, amps drums and more. The public is welcome to bring their used pieces for swap, sell or trade within the genre of music in the “Community Market” area.
The “Jazz Café” will feature favorite foods like BBQ and catfish. Cool Springs Brewery is bringing a complete line-up of hand crafted beers. The café has live performances between main stage acts so don’t miss a minute of the music. Doors open at 3:30 P.M. with music beginning at 4.
Eleven groups will hit the stage over the two day festival with headliners playing promptly at 9 P.M. Saturday’s big draw is Annie Sellick featuring the George Tidwell Sextet, and Sunday brings you Vasti Jackson.
