On Thursday, Dec. 3, the City of Spring Hill will celebrate the completion of two walk-way projects that will help our children be able to walk to school: 1) Tanyard Springs, and 2) Spring Station Drive.
Prior to the two ribbon cuttings, there will be a Walk to School Day event. Heritage Middle / Heritage Elementary schools from Tanyard Springs: Heritage Middle students should meet at the new walkway in Tanyard Springs at 6:35 a.m. and leave promptly at 6:50 a.m. Heritage Elementary students should meet at the new walkway in Tanyard Springs at 7:45 a.m. and leave promptly at 8 a.m.
Walk to School Day event for Summit High / Spring Station Middle School: Summit High School and Spring Station students from Cherry Grove Addition should meet at the Pool House for Cherry Grove Addition on Stewart Campbell Point at 6:40 a.m. and will leave promptly at 6:50 a.m. to walk up Spring Station Drive.
There will be police officers to assist with traffic control and crossings. All are welcome to attend.
Ribbon Cutting information:
– 9:30 a.m. – Tanyard Springs Walkway Project, at Williford Court Trailhead (next to Tanyard Springs Dental).
– 11 a.m. – Spring Station Drive – Trailhead at top of Spring Station Drive at Summit High School student parking area (next to Softball field).
