WKRN reports that a lottery ticket worth $1 million was purchased in the southern Tennessee town of Ardmore near the Alabama line.
The ticket matched five of the six numbers from Saturday’s drawing.
Tennesseans have been on a roll lately when it comes to picking lottery numbers–this is the sixth time in three weeks that a Tennessee lottery player has won $1 million or more.
No additional information about the winner is available until the prize is claimed.
The previously won prizes were:
- $50 million Powerball jackpot won in Harriman on March 21
- $2 million Powerball prize won in Hohenwald on March 21
- $2 million Powerball prize won in Nashville on March 25
- $1,093,632 “Tennessee Cash” jackpot won in Jasper on April 1
- $1 million win from an instant ticket game won in Nashville on April 10
