After 11 Years, Brad Paisley Will Not Host CMA Awards

For the past 11 years, Brad Paisley has been joined by Carrie Underwood as hosts of the CMA Awards but that will change this year.

On Monday morning, CMA announced that Carrie Underwood will continue to host the award show but will be joined by special guest hosts- Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.

This year’s event is dedicated to celebrating legendary women in Country Music throughout the ceremony. CMA Awards will be held at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and will be broadcast live 8/7c on ABC. Nominations will be announced on Wednesday, August 28.

Combined, the three hosts hold 124 CMA Awards nominations and 22 total wins, 11 of which are for Female Vocalist of the Year. In addition, the three superstars hold a combined 14 nominations in the Entertainer of the Year category, with Parton receiving the award in 1978 and McEntire winning in 1986.

After the news was released, Parton shared. “Let’s go girls! I’m so excited to be joining and to celebrate the legendary women of country music as a guest host of this year’s on November 13″

“Can’t wait to join and at this year’s !!!” said Reba on Twitter. 

Paisley also commented on Twitter saying, “As a fan of all 3 of these amazing women, I can’t wait to watch.”
