The third spot on the American Transportation Research Institute list in Tennessee is the interchange of I-65 and I-40. The ATRI lists it as the 48th worst traffic bottleneck in the country.

More than 120,000 cars use it each day.

Also, it affects traffic on smaller roads and exits around it in every direction:

The average speed on it is 44 miles per hour. The average speed during rush hours is just 34 miles per hour, while the average speed during non-rush hours is 49 mph.
