Youth Leadership Brentwood is accepting applications for the class of 2013. High School Sophomores and Juniors who live in or attend school in Brentwood are encouraged to apply if they have previously demonstrated leadership skills.
School guidance counselors should have program brochures and applications or find out more at www.leadershipbrentwood.org.
“I wish every student could have the experience of attending Youth Leadership Brentwood,” said YLB graduate, Allie Miller, a Retail Banking Specialist for Reliant Bank. “I grew up in Brentwood, but didn’t get to know Brentwood until I attended YLB. I built lifelong friendships with top notch students. It is an experience I will never forget,” she said. Allie is now giving back to the program and to the City as the vice chair of the YLB Steering Board.
The mission of YLB is to provide students a hands-on understanding of the community. One full day of programming per month for 5 months covers business, media, history, government and quality of life. Class starts in October of 2012 so apply today.
Tuition for the course is $100 and applications are due no later than 5 P.M. September 14, 2012.
Graduates of this course are eligible for college scholarships.
