On New Year’s Eve, Main Street will bring in the New Year at the Franklin Theatre with music from the 90’s country music artist,  Phil Vassar and at GRAYS on Main, Wynonna Judd will take to the stage to bring in 2017.

GRAYS on Main, the former pharmacy turned restaurant and entertainment space, has a stage on the second floor in which many local artists have performed. Tim McGraw held a private listening party for his album back in 2014 and Christian artist Toby Mac filmed a music video at GRAYS.

And now, Franklin High School alumn, Wynonna Judd, is set to perform on New Year’s Eve. Wynonna & the Big Noise just completed their Christmas tour with a stop at the CMA Theatre inside the Country Music Hall of Fame. News of the New Year’s Eve show was released on the GRAYS on Main Facebook page just after her Nashville show and sold out quickly.

Joni & Michael Cole, owners of GRAYS on Main, shared how they were able to bring the powerhouse country music artist to GRAYS on Main.

“Wynonna and Cactus have been to GRAYS on the third-floor private club several times. I went to high school with Wynonna. However, it was my husband, Michael’s, contacts in the music industry that secured Wynonna for our New Year’s Eve show,” said Joni Cole.

Patrons can expect music from Wynonna & the Big Noise’s latest album along with Wynonna’s own hits.

“It will be a big party with Wynonna & the Big Noise starting to play between 10 – 10:30 pm and she will continue to play until the new year,” said Joni Cole.

Releasing a self-titled album “Wynonna & the Big Noise” earlier this year, produced by her husband and drummer – Cactus Moser. The couple was married June 2012, but the two met when the Judds and Cactus’s band Highway 101 toured together.

If you missed tickets to the Wynonna & the Big Noise show, there are still tickets available to the early show with Kyshona Armstrong who will also be the opening act for Wynonna on New Year’s Eve at Gray’s on Main.

Georgia native, Armstrong, now calls Nashville and is a former music therapist who performed at GRAYS on Main earlier in December. Her debut album “Go” exhibits her soulful voice which she says is influenced by blues, rock, gospel, and jazz.

Tickets to the early show are $75 per person which includes a four-course meal with one complimentary choice of a glass of beer or wine. Seating for the early show begins at 5 pm which will end at 8 pm. For those who would prefer to dine on the first floor without a show, dinner prices are $65 per person which includes the four courses and one complimentary drink.  To make your reservation, call (615) 435-3603.
