Women in the Workforce Forum & Conference

The Council on Workforce Innovation will be hosting the 2014 Women’s Conference on Tuesday, September 30, at Belmont University. All professional women are invited to attend, and sessions will include discussion and panels with successful businesswomen providing advice on professional development.

The conference is part of the 2014 Women in the Workforce Forum and Awards, at which Governor Bill Haslam, First Lady Crissy Haslam and Mayor Karl Dean will appear.

he awards breakfast has reached capacity, but women are invited to attend the mid-morning Women’s Conference and panel sessions starting with networking at 10:00 a.m. The sessions include discussion and panels with successful businesswomen providing advice on professional development.

The CEO Conversation Series kicks off the mid-morning sessions at 10:30 a.m., featuring Scott Borchetta, CEO, Big Machine Label Group, and a professional development chat with Joelle Phillips, President, AT&T.

The panel discussion will follow at 11:30 a.m.   Navigating the Workplace: Moving In-Up-On, features conversations with Nashville’s successful women leaders on navigating your career. The panelists will provide insight and share experiences in beginning a career, moving up in a career, and defining yourself as an accomplished professional. Panelists include: Kathleen Goff, K McCarthy Fashion Truck, Owner; Elizabeth Griffith, Vice President, Jackson National Life; and Cathy Bender, Vice President, Merrill Lynch.

All events are offered at no charge, as a guest of Belmont University and conference sponsors, to all professional women.
