Women Rock Out This Weekend For Charity

Women Rock for Charity will hold its inaugural music camp this weekend in Brentwood, Tn. The newly renovated building located at 9000A Church Street was once an eyesore but Carolyn Lipp saw the potential to make it a place where women can gain confidence, get a little out of their comfort zone or perhaps check being part of a rock band off their old bucket list.

Carolyn Lipp had her first rock band camp experience over three years ago in Portland, Oregon. Loving the experience, and with the urging of  friends, Women Rock for Charity was born. Women Rock For Charity encourages women to get out of their comfort zone and try new experiences in music and life. They offer a unique opportunity for women to learn the basics of a musical instrument, write a song and  even perform live on stage at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville! And it’s all for a good cause- to support other charities that share their purpose of empowering women!

Ladies Rock Band experience will take place on October 25-27 . No special skills are required. Only a willingness to learn, have fun and gain self-esteem. The camp is open to women over 30. Registration is $500 and includes valuable instruction from a host of seasoned Nashville musicians and a final performance at the Wild Horse Saloon on Sunday. Also included is a downtown Nashville pub crawl, a karaoke dinner, and a visit from a special surprise guest and all net proceeds go to benefit Bridges Domestic Violence Center, Thistle Farms-Magdalene and PealPoint Cancer Support formerly, Sarah Canon Cancer Center.
