Williamson Source Expands High School Sports Coverage with BallFrog Integration

As part of an enhanced commitment to high school and youth sports coverage, Williamson Source has announced a new integration with BallFrog, a Brentwood-based high school and youth/club sports scores and highlights mobile app.

“BallFrog technology will now make team schedules, scores, and more “real time” information available on Williamson Source, and because the information is crowd-sourced from people at the games, our Williamson Source audience can actually participate in helping promote favorite local teams and schools,” commented Steven Ludwig, President of Williamson Source’s parent company, Franklin-based BIGR Media, Inc. “It’s impractical for Williamson Source to be at every game of every sport at every school. This new relationship with BallFrog means parents of athletes, grandparents, other students, or loyal boosters and alumni can easily and quickly feed score updates, photos, videos, stats, wrap-ups – just about anything they are seeing at the games – straight into the Williamson Source sports team via the BallFrog app or our site.” By helping crowd-source game information, citizen journalists will have a big role to play; extending the reach of our sports reporters.

Just In Time For Basketball Playoffs

The new technology has been deployed in Williamson Source just in time for boys and girls basketball post-season tournaments.

“As teams are making their way toward the State tournaments, we’ll have all the latest game schedules, plus in-game score updates, final scores, and other timely coverage made possible by BallFrog technology,” added Clark Shelton, Williamson Source General Manager. “We always want to provide as much coverage as possible for every school and team. Giving fans a way to help us know what’s happening at all the games means no team or school gets left out.”

What is BallFrog and how does it work?

BallFrog helps fans and sports teams alike. It provides fans a customized experience, complete with scores and highlights, while also helping local sports teams reach their fan base by providing an easy way for coaches, athletic directors, managers and more report scores and other valuable information.

How You Can Help

As winter sports end and spring sports get underway, Williamson Source will utilize the BallFrog app to display the latest scores from area high school games on our High School Sports Page. And you can help us! If If you’re frequently at the team’s games and you can help update the score at the end of each period, take photos, and share highlights of what’s happening, we’d like to ask you to become a reporter for your team and your school. As much as we’d like to be everywhere at every game, it just isn’t practical. Your help means a lot to us in our efforts to promote what’s happening with the players on your team and what’s happening at your school. Sharing scores and information from the game helps keep our coverage up-to-date, and just for helping you can get great prizes from BallFrog and Sonic and other local sponsors.
