Westhaven Named A Top 50 Master Planned Community

National publication Where to Retire Magazine has recognized Westhaven residential community as one of the “50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S.” according to a list in the magazine’s July/August issue.

The top 50 were selected based on access to desired amenities, design, quality of life and how well they facilitate healthy living. The magazine states that Westhaven stands out among other candidates thanks to its town center, which provides residents access to a grocery store, office and medical buildings, boutique coffee shop High Brow Brew, restaurants, dry cleaning services and many other lifestyle amenities, all within the residential community.

The magazine also highlighted Westhaven’s signature annual music festival “Porchfest,” which attracts more than 100 musicians to play on the neighborhood’s porches. This year’s festival took place on June 20.

“With retirees, young families and every demographic in between, Westhaven’s population is as dynamic as the community itself,” Where to Retire wrote.

“Westhaven residents of all ages frequently tell us how much they enjoy the traditional neighborhood design, high-quality culture and convenience of this neighborhood,” said Southern Land Company CEO Tim Downey, who envisioned and built Westhaven. “We are excited that this beloved community has again gained national recognition from Where to Retire Magazine.” Westhaven made Where to Retire Magazine’s last “Best Master-Planned Communities” list, which was published in 2013.
