Ok folks, here’s the situation as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning:
- Presently it’s 50* , this morning at 5:00 a.m. it was 63*. If 63>50 , then the solution would be that the temperature is falling. If you answered correctly, then you will not be surprised when I say it will continue to fall. By Drive time this afternoon, temps should be hovering just above freezing.
- Rain will continue to fall all day. According to multiple sources, here in Williamson County we will see a changeover somewhere around 9:00 p.m.
- Around 9-ish, you will know because you will hear it, rain will change to freezing rain and sleet. As of now up to .10 inch of ice and 2-4 inches of sleet and snow, mostly sleet, are predicted. Once this starts, roads will deteriorate quickly.
- Low tomorrow morning 17*, temps are not expected to get above freezing until Saturday. Make plans as schools and roads will be heavily impacted.
- Winter Weather Advisory kicks in tonight at 9:00 p.m. until noon tomorrow.
- Schools are not expected to be impacted, this statement from Dr. Looney, WCS Director:
WCS families we are watching the winter weather system as it approaches, but have no reason to believe it will impact the district today.
