Weekend Forecast: Ice on Roadways is the Biggest Concern Now

Winter Storm Jonas swept through Middle Tennessee Friday, bringing buckets of snow. Schools, businesses, county and state buildings closed. Driving conditions were terrible and local officials urged residents to stay home.

 

We can expect to see a little more snow throughout the weekend and cold temps. The National Weather Service has issued a Travelers Advisory through Sunday morning

Although the potential for accumulating snowfall has ended for many areas, problems will continue across Middle Tennessee through at least noon on Sunday. Snow and Ice on roadways will cause hazardous travel conditions.

Saturday
Scattered flurries before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 30. North northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Sunday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph.

Sunday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 28. South wind around 5 mph.
