WCS Marching Band Awards

Last month, Summit, Franklin, Ravenwood and Centennial marching bands all participated in the Lower Antioch eXperience (LAX) Competition at Antioch High School.

In Class XXX, the Marching Spartans from Summit High School took second place. Centennial High School placed third.

In Class XXXX, Franklin High School (photo above by Tracey Radick) took first place, and Ravenwood High School placed second. Franklin also won High Music, High Visual and was named the Grand Champion of the competition.

 The Page High School Marching Band recently competed at the BOA Regional in Powder Springs, Georgia. They won the Class AA championship, Best Music and Visual and took fourth place overall.

The Independence High School Marching Band participated in the Columbia Invitational Marching Contest. In prelims, they won Outstanding Color Guard, Music, Visual and General Effect. In addition, they won first place in Class AA and received the 75th Diamond Anniversary Award. They placed eighth overall.
