WCS High School Game Day Show Begins Live at 6pm

The premiere of WCS Game Day will be streamed live today before the Fairview vs. Page “Battle of 840” game.

The program is similar to the ESPN program that previews college games.

Walker Chevrolet recently provided money to improve the staging of the show and support media programs in the high schools.

In addition, the program will be uploaded to YouTube following post production.

Game Day moves to Brentwood for the “Battle of the Woods” Brentwood-Ravenwood contest on Aug. 26. On Sept. 2, Nolensville High School will make its Game Day debut when they take on South Gibson County. and finally, Game Day will be taped before the Independence-Summit game on Sept. 16.

In addition to Game Day, there also are live cablecasts of key games.

WC-TV, Williamson County’s education and government channel, produces the Game of the Week broadcast.

The full 2016 Game of the Week schedule is as follows:

  • 8/19 – Centennial at Franklin (Battle of Franklin)
  • 8/26 – Ravenwood at Brentwood (Battle of the Woods)
  • 9/2 – South Gibson at Nolensville (First Nolensville home game)
  • 9/9 – Brentwood at Franklin
  • 9/16 – Independence at Summit
  • 9/23 – Northeast at Brentwood
  • 9/30 – Stewarts Creek at Independence
  • 10/6 – Franklin Co. at Summit (Thursday night)
  • 10/14 – Brentwood at Centennial
  • 10/21 – Flex Schedule Game (Decide Later)
  • 10/28 – Flex Schedule Game (Decide Later)

After a sporting event is taped, it typically airs on:

  • Friday at midnight
  • Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
