War Veteran Receives Custom Built Home in Arrington

Operation FINALLY HOME
Afghanistan and Iraq veteran U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Luke Van Dorston will receive the keys to his new custom-built home in Arrington tomorrow.

Operation FINALLY HOME, in partnership with Carbine & Associates, LP Building Products, American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks, and Kings’ Chapel Community, supported the construction of the home.

Van Dorston flew over 140 combat missions, was involved in over 64 direct action raids, and directed 194 Close Air Support missions. As a result of these missions, Van Dorston suffers from severe PTSD and was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011. Van Dorston and his wife, Abby, have a two-year-old son named Brooks.

Tomorrow afternoon, Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson, as well as representatives from the building companies, Kings’ Chapel Community and Operation FINALLY HOME will dedicate and present the new home to Luke and his family.
