Vols Trip But Cats Keep Dancing

It was a tumultuous night at the Big Dance last night, as the Vols lost a heart breaker and the Kentucky Wildcats rocked their in state rival Louisville:

VOLS LOSE HEARTBREAKER:

ADVERTISE WITH US

In what was a wild affair, and a bit of a rivalry with many Wolverines living here in Williamson County, Michigan outlasted Tennessee to advance to the Elite 8 on Sunday. Despite McCrae’s 24 Pts, 6 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 4 Blk effort, the Vols couldn’t make the comeback. Down by 15 points with 6:45 left, the Vols almost made NCAA history, but fell just short when Stokes’s ball didn’t fall. A questionable charging call late in the game is still being talked about by Vol players. Final Score 73-71 . Michigan plays Kentucky tomorrow.

CATS SCRATCH WAY INTO ELITE 8:

With a late surge, Calipari once again showed Pitino who rules the Bluegrass State this year. With 65 seconds left to go in the game the Wildcats took their first lead and never looked back. Led by Randle’s 15 point 12 rebound double-double Kentucky ousted the defending National Champs. Louisville’s Achilles Heel in the game was free throw shooting hitting only 13 of 23 from the line. Kentucky will face off against Michigan tomorrow with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
