Brentwood Library Book Sale Starts Friday

The Brentwood Library’s Quarterly Book Sale is going on this weekend with more than just books for sale, there are plenty of movies, TV show box-sets and kids favorites on sale as well as thousands of books.

This is the library’s first Quarterly Book Sale of 2015, and it opens Friday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will go on all weekend with the same hours. All items are half price on Sunday. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. The Brentwood Library is located at 8109 Concord Road.

Proceeds from the sale generate funds for the library’s Summer Reading Program, special events like Morning with Santa, library decorations and other projects not funded by the city.

Large selections of fiction and non-fiction titles are available, from current hard-cover bestsellers to coffee table, reference, religious and cook books. A large children’s and young adult section provides an economical way for parents and teachers to build home and classroom libraries at a fraction of the cost of new.

The Friends’ organization also manages the ongoing Friends of the Brentwood Library’s Amazon shop at www.amazon.com/shops/friendsbooksters.

The library, located at 8109 Concord Road, offers more than 165,000 books and other materials, including audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs and online resources. A large collection of newspapers and magazines is also available.  The Children’s Library was named one of the country’s “10 Most Magical Children’s Libraries” in 201 by PBS’ Reading Rainbow.
