The holidays are just around the corner, which means lots of shopping and shipping of gifts. The United States Postal Service has some good news for all of you who will need to ship presents. They will deliver packages seven days a week this holiday season!
Beginning Nov 17th through Christmas, USPS officials in Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Chattanooga will make deliveries every day.
“The Postal Service will be out making deliveries every single day during the holiday season, including Christmas Day,” said Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe. “During the holidays, no carrier makes more deliveries to more places than the Postal Service, and this year, we’re raising the bar with enhanced tracking and Sunday delivery.”
Thanks to the popularity of shopping online, USPS expects to deliver 450 to 470 million packages this holiday season.
