Carrie Underwood Storyteller Tour

What does it take to bring Carrie Underwood’s latest tour to your city? The answer is 17 semi-trucks. “The Storyteller Tour” required many weeks of technical planning and rehearsing to program lighting cues, automation, and special effects, followed by numerous full-on performance rehearsals with Underwood and her band.  And “The Storyteller Tour” features a staple of all Underwood productions—wardrobe changes. Underwood worked with Emmy-winning costume designer Marina Toybina to create varying costume options for each of the five acts so fans will see a variety of outfits every night during her 100+ minute set. Marina also designed the wardrobe for Underwood’s 2012/2013 “Blown Away Tour.”

The massive stage has seven elevator lifts and spans over 150 feet across the arena floor, with a main center stage expanse of 48 feet in diameter that rotates 360-degrees. The center lift can raise to 18 feet high. There are four satellite stages and three concentric LED rings that hover in the air and move throughout the show for visual moments and effects, plus four larger oval screens that provide video for fans on all sides of the arena. A very unique spotlight technology, the Black Track system, follows Carrie where ever she travels across the massive stage with aide by special beacons that have been built into her wardrobe. Bad news-so far there are no dates scheduled for Nashville. Good news-you can see Underwood perform on the Grammys Feb 15.

Charles Kelley

Stepping outside of Lady Antebellum, one of the world’s most popular groups, Charles Kelley released  THE DRIVER  which was produced by Paul Worley and features appearances from Miranda Lambert, Stevie Nicks, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay. For the album, Kelley explores new territory with a raw sound that pushes his vocals into a lower, grittier key. With this album, Kelley shows us a deeper introspective look into himself that is expressed through a collection of thought provoking music. Kelley has already received a Grammy nomination for the latest released album for the single “The Driver.” And if you still are not sure Who is Charles Kelley, watch the video below. Dan+Shay

ACM Vocal Duo nominees Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) kick off February with “From The Ground Up,” the debut single from their forthcoming album, which makes its world premiere today on Country Radio. In celebration, the pair has also released their heartfelt new music video, directed by Shaun Silva and shot just outside of Nashville, digitally to fans.

‘From The Ground Up’ is a song that started with a conversation about our grandparents and the love that they shared for the 65-plus years that they were married,” Smyers explained of the single he wrote with Mooney and produced with Scott Hendricks. “It tells the story of the life that they built through their power and dedication to each other, and the perseverance to endure whatever would come their way.”
