Undefeated Run Continues for Fairview

Big plays guided the Fairview Yellowjackets to a win Friday to keep their undefeated season going.

The Yellowjackets (8-0, 4-0) had touchdowns of 73, 76 and 48 yards in the first half, and they ran away from the East Hickman Eagles 43-7.

Running back Jake Beathard and quarterback Kam Harris-Lusk got things going early for Fairview. Beathard scored the first touchdown of the game en route to finishing with four rushes for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

Harris-Lusk had passing touchdowns of 73 and 76 yards in the first quarter to Sam Sanborn and Hunter Caldwell, respectively. He completed four of his five passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.

The Yellowjackets were just as dominant on the defensive side of the ball, limiting East Hickman (0-9, 0-5) to just 142 total yards (four passing, 138 rushing).

With the win, Fairview stands alone atop the Region 6-3A standings. The Yellowjackets have games against Camden Central and Harpeth left, both of which are tied for second in the league standings at 3-1 in the region.
