TriStar Announces New Director of Pediatric Services

TriSstar announced this week the appointment of Karen Good, RN, MSN, NE-BC, as the new Director of Pediatric Services for TriStar Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Last week we told you all about the new emergency facility TriStar is opening in Spring Hill.

Good, Karen“Karen brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to our growing pediatric program,” said Jeffrey Guy, M.D., chief medical officer of the pediatric program for Women’s & Children’s hospital. “We are thrilled to have her on board and look forward to her expertise as Nashville’s new choice for comprehensive pediatric care continues to evolve.”

Good previously served as manager of the pediatric emergency department and trauma center for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where she also oversaw the opening of a satellite emergency department. Prior to that role, Good was the director of clinical services for pediatrics and the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, Penn. She received her Master of Science in Nursing and Executive Administration, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.

In her new role, Good oversees the pediatric medical-surgical unit, PICU, and recently opened Kids Express outpatient services center for Women’s & Children’s hospital.
