Tree-Lighting Makes Holiday Season in Franklin Official

Its annual tree-lighting celebration in the square on Friday evening made it officially Christmas-time in Franklin.

Thousands of people showed up for the live music, food and festivities– and of course to watch the 40-foot Christmas tree light up, which it did right after 6:30 p.m. as Mayor Ken Moore led the countdown.

The city partnered with sponsors Williamson Medical Center, Middle Tennessee Electric, Mars Petcare, Downtown Franklin Association and Spring Tree Media group to bring a multi-media extravaganza to the historic downtown square.
