Titans select OT Taylor Lewan with 11th pick in 2014 NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans used their 11th pick on OT Taylor Lewan of Michigan of the first-round of the 2014 NFL Draft on Thursday night at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

From Cave Creek, Arizona, Lewan is listed as 6’7″ and weighs in at 309 lbs.

From his scouting report on CBS Sports, Lewan is a tenacious, tough young blocker, yet like any rookie has plenty of room for development.

“His biggest areas of needed improvement are in technique and instincts, as his reaction to opponent movement will appear unnatural and a bit mechanical at times, but with better technical coaching in an NFL environment, Lewan certainly possesses the raw tools that if combined with better technique and instincts, could lead him to long-term dominance at the tackle position.”
