Three Dog Bakery is coming to Franklin at the Southside McEwen shopping center next to Whole Foods. Leslie Kessinger, owner of Three Dog Bakery, told us that “Three Dog Bakery is the original bakery for dogs, founded in 1989 in Kansas City to provide fresh baked, natural treats and food for dogs.”
A first of its kind in the Nashville area, Kessinger says that Franklin store will not be her only store in the area.
When we asked why Kessinger wanted to bring Three Dog Bakery to the area, she said “dogs are family to me, and Three Dog Bakery has spent 25 years providing the best food and treats available. My family and I have personally experienced how diet can dramatically impact the quality of life of our pets, and believe that at least two of our dogs suffered serious health issues as a result of contaminated food or treats. Three Dog Bakery treats are all-natural and completely free of the harmful ingredients that many commercial dog products contain, and it is so important to me to share our treats with the dogs in Williamson County.”

Three Dog Bakery expects to open in mid-August next to Whole Foods which Kessinger feels is the perfect location as “customers who shop at Whole Foods care about the things they feed their family – they want natural, healthy choices that they feel good about purchasing.
