The Tennessee Senior Olympics

The Tennessee Senior Olympics are under way and facility closure in Williamson County is part of the events. The gymnasium at the Franklin Recreation Complex will be closed Friday, July 13 – Thursday, July 19, 2012. Also, the indoor tennis courts at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood will be closed Sunday, July 15 – Wednesday, July 18, 2012, until all matches have concluded.

Seniors age 50 and up will be competing in a multitude of events from July 13 – July 19, as the State Finals come to the area. District winners will come together to promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle for seniors. Archery, foot races, cycling, racquetball, pole vaulting and more will produce champions by the end of this week-long competition.
