The RedByrd Coffee Shop Serves Cups of Joy

RedByrd Coffee

It’s the first local coffee shop in Leipers Fork – The RedByrd Coffee Shop, located next to the Leipers Fork Market in a “tiny little shop.” But The RedByrd Coffee Shop is serving more than your daily jolt of caffeine; they’re getting to know their neighbors and looking to spread some joy. Any coffee drinker knows whether it’s your first cup of coffee or last for the day it always tastes better when it’s served with a smile and a greeting.

On Friday, we met the owners of RedByrd Coffee Shop – Sadie Shaw-Brooks and her husband Kyle. As I watched them engage with those who walked up to the window to order their afternoon coffee, I saw them not only make a cup of coffee but even create an off-menu special drink for those who had a long week or for that mom who needed that extra boost to finish the last few kid activities for the week.

Watch our video where we spoke to the couple about how this tiny little coffee shop got started, their special roast of coffee, and for those who enjoy cold brew, they even offer a decaf version. The couple recently returned from Round Top in Texas but says they’re planted in the Fork for now.  You will see them at Pilgrimage Festival at Harlinsdale Farm in September and for those attending the Leipers Fork Farmers Market, they plan to stay open on those Thursdays, you might even hear some original music on the side porch. Stop by and try one of the many signature drinks like the Papa Byrd, Blackberry Latte or the Mama Byrd, vanilla lavender latte.

Visit The RedByrd Coffee Shop located at 4348 Old Hillsboro Road, Franklin. New hours of operation beginning this week are Wednesday – Friday, 7 a – 4 p, Saturday – Sunday 9 a – 5 p. Follow them on Facebook for the latest updates.
