Team Ruff Adds Iggy to Puppy Bowl Line-Up

Williamson County Animal Center is pleased to announce that Iggy, a local shelter pet, has been added to the lineup for Sunday’s Puppy Bowl. Iggy will be on the reserve list for Team Ruff, which is going up against Team Fluff on Animal Planet’s 11th annual Puppy Bowl, Sunday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. Last year’s Puppy Bowl telecast drew 13.5 million viewers, making it the #1 telecast in all of cable.

Local favorites Mr. Fantastic, a rough and tumble linebacker and Miss Martian, a long-legged receiver, will be in the starting line up for opposing Team Fluff, which will take on Iggy and “Team Ruff” in a winner-take-all-battle.

Laura Chavarria, director of Williamson County Animal Center, stated, “We are so excited to find out the Iggy will also appear on Sunday’s show,” stated Chavarria. “It’s all in fun, of course,” she added,  “and it raises awareness and recognition for shelters and rescue groups across the United States.” Fans can check out www.AnimalPlanet.com/PuppyBowl for fantasy teams, puppy cams, a special preview video and other information.
